March 21st, 2009Whats funny is how he keeps telling the camera man to make art when if you ask me this shit is exactly that. If only all Spike Lee films had the intensity of a Hollywood director comparing resumes with a TMZ camera guy. Oh and best supporting actor goes to the limo driver for absolutely nailing that “you’re pathetic” look. That took guts, coming from a limo driver. What I wanna know is how come Spike insisted on knowing what movies the cameraman made but didn’t bother to ask his driver what races he’s won? If you need a feature film credit to record a temper tantrum then Kobe needs to tell Spike to put up a triple-double if he wants to make that documentary so bad. All jokes aside, “I’m a Crooklyn fan,” might be the best subliminal shot I’ve heard that didn’t originate from a rap track.
I know I said no more posts but I got to keep my wit sharp to match the new look that I might not have even started.
Scarface, The Review
March 14th, 2009I had the opportunity to sit in on a Q & A with Oliver Stone back in my SVA days and I had my hand raised for about half an hour trying to ask him (I forget the exact question) about his involvement with the film Scarface. I never did get called on, Oliver was too busy getting his dick sucked by my fellow classmates, but reading this review definitely educated me on the proverbial MTV Cribs DVD of choice. All I have to say is thank god Sidney Lumet didn’t like Stone’s script. Not that I’m calling Lumet a bad director, I’m just saying nobody watches Serpico more than once.
